I learnt how to make a blog. Can I really make money from this blog? I am small business man in South India. Can you send some of the peoples addresses in south India who made money in this way?

How much money you will make from a Blog depends on the content and the topic of the blog and the number of visitors to your blog.

For example, If you write about sports events and movie stars, you will attract a lot of traffic. But, your income potential will be minimum. If you write about mortgages, you will make good money even if you have a limited traffic. If you write about a topic no one is interested in, you will neither attract traffic nor make money.

So, find out the topics you are interested in. Focus on the topics that have income potential. Create a frequently updated useful blog. Promote it.

Millions of small business persons make money. None of them comes out  in public and says 'I make X amount of money' because of personal, private and social reasons. Does this mean there is no money in business? Will you start a business only if all others confirm that they make certain amount of money? The fundamental principles of an online business and offline business are the same.

Tens of thousands of bloggers make money. What does it matter where you live in? The Internet has broken all man made geographical borders. We must change our attitude of thinking in terms of 'South India' and 'North India'. Unless your blog is about regional interests, think globally.

Darren of www.ProBlogger.net says he makes ore than Rs.400,000 a month. You can visit his website to learn how he earns from blogging. He is in Australia. That does not mean you can not make money because you are in South India.

Learn the business process and work hard. You will also make a lot of money.

Collection of Dues

The section on attracting money says we should collect all our dues. There are many who owe me money. some of my friends, the watchman, my cousin brother whom I had helped at various times which I am not in any hurry to collect as I really wish them well and I do care about their well-being (and that's the reason I don't ask them to return the money they owe me).

According to this article, this does not seem to the right thing to do! So, I should go and ask every one who owes me money to pay me back either Rs.5 or Rs. 5000? The thing is we don't keep accounts who spends how much. But that is another rule! Should I change my whole approach and count every rupee I spend. That makes me look like a miser!

The article gives you an idea to attract money. It does not tell you how to improve your personality or social relationship. If you want to attract money, you must start collecting all outstanding dues. (Please don't forget to repay all debts.)

There are two things: principle and application of principle. Principle is constant and Application of principle is contextual.

We must use our common sense to decide whether to collect a certain outstanding due or not. Your friend has to give you Rs.100. You know he does not have even one rupee, there is no point in applying this principle and harassing him for the amount. On the other hand, if this friend is a rich man and you don't want to ask him to return the money because he is rich and the amount is small, you are making a mistake.

So, everything depends on your attitude towards the borrower and the money.

Try to keep an exact account of your cash inflow and outflow, to collect all outstanding dues and to repay all debts. Try your best. You will see interesting results.
